How to use this siteThis is a featured page

Putting together a bucket list or life list is more than just an exercise. It requires that you stand back, take stock of your life, and compare it with how you dreamed that your life would be. By identifying the most rewarding experiences and stepping up to their challenges, you'll likely find that your life will be measured by its greatest moments than by its missed opportunities. Creating a life list or bucket list is a real celebration in life. Life is short. As you start to check off the items on your list, you'll start to make the most of the time you have. This site can be used to create your list, share your strategy and resources, track your progress, share your accomplishments, and (hopefully) get encouragement along the way.

1) Join the community and create a profile
It's free! You can join the community and remain anonymous if you wish. You can choose not to share your e-mail address when creating your profile, but other members can still send you messages through Wetpaint. Add a picture or image to your member profile. Tell us in your profile what inspired you to create your life list.

2) View the Bucket Lists page and then create your page listing your life list and goals
When creating your page, make its name unique so others don't think it's a template that they can update. For example, include your name, nickname, or member name in the title (e.g., just_tonya's Life Goals). When you choose to Add a New page, you can select from several templates that have been designed to ease the creation of your list and marking your progress. Or, you can start with a blank page and design your own list. Once the page is created, you can edit it. Just add your goals to Bucket Lists page. Some tips: each should be results-oriented, quantifiable, and upbeat! Don't forget to include some keyword tags that describe the goals on your list. Some example keyword tags are given on the Categories page. Be creative. Post pictures below your list demonstrating you accomplishing a goal. You can add pictures and images, like your personal scrapbook page about how you're completing your list.

3) Share information with others about individual items on your life list and your suggestions on how to accomplish them.
Post information that you know about individual goals and your suggested strategy and resources. As an example, look at the Run a marathon goal page, which includes suggested 2008 US marathons and links to helpful resources. It's easy to create a page for a popular life goal and add reference information, hints, and tips.

4) Share a word of encouragement to others who are trying to accomplish their dreams and goals
Start a thread on someone's page and add comments with words of encouragement.

5) Share with us when you accomplish an item on your list so that we can celebrate with you too!
Mark the item as completed on your list. But, add a note to the Done That! page to let us celebrate with you!

By the way, don't forget to read The Fine Print about using this website.
